Want to know more? Read more about this treatment below.
Semi-permanent make-up is a technique of cosmetic tattooing, which are suitable for most people in good health over the age of 18.
A FREE initial consultation allows you to discuss the treatment and the finished look you want to achieve.
Chloë designs your eyebrows to your specification, matching the pigment to your skin tone and hair colour to give your desired finished result.
Colours range from blonde to bold brown, so there is a perfect match to suit you - contrary to the myth that semi-permanent eyebrows are only dark, thick and unnatural.
Chloë uses only the best pigments and products, which are vegan and cruelty free.
Two treatment sessions are recommended to give you the best results (an initial appointment and a top up session)
The results can last between 8- 24 months, depending on your commitment to your aftercare, skin type, skin regime and sun exposure.
First Step - The Consultation
A free consultation can be booked with Chloë to discuss the finished look you want to achieve.
A patch test will be completed (a minimum of 24 hours before treatment) and Chloë will discuss with you what happens during your treatment and healing process of semi-permanent cosmetics.
A Pre-Treatment Advice form will be given to you to follow prior to your appointment.
A medical health form and consent form will be completed - unfortunately you cannot have semi-permanent eyebrows if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under the age of 18.
If you have a long term health condition or illness, it is advisable to discuss the treatment with your Doctor before booking your consultation. Some conditions or medications may effect your suitability for treatment and you may require a written consent form from a health professional before going ahead. A list of medical conditions that will require this consent form can be found on my website - under FAQs.
Your skin type and style of eyebrow will be discussed - some want a very natural look and others want a bolder finish, there is a style perfect for you all. See pictures and descriptions below!
Once everything has been discussed and you are happy to go ahead, a 50 euro deposit is taken to secure a discounted initial treatment appointment.
Second Step - The Initial Treatment
A topical anaesthetic is applied to make you as comfortable as possible, but there is minimal discomfort and several people have fallen asleep during the treatment!
Your eyebrows are then designed - a string mapping method is used to get a symmetrical shape that is suitable for you and what you want.
Once you have checked the shape and design, we are ready to begin!
A unique handtool (microblading) or digital machine is used to create the look of very fine hairstrokes. A shading / powder technique can also be achieved to create a bolder, thicker or more defined brow if that is the finished result you want to achieve.
Your initial treatment can take between 2-3 hours, depending on the style of brow we have chosen.
Once we have finished, an after care regime will be explained to you. You will be given an after care balm and a written advice sheet to follow for 2 weeks after treatment to achieve the best results.
Third Step - The Healing Process
Straight after treatment and for the next 5-7 days, your eyebrows will look 50-60% darker whilst they are healing.
After 5-10 days, they will start to get itchy / flakey and the skin will continue to repair itself. Most people experience flaking, so it is advised not to pick or touch your eyebrows.
Next is the lighter stage, the pigment is camouflaged under the repaired skin for a few days and your eyebrows will look much lighter than they did straight after treatment.
The final stage is the reveal stage - the pigment starts to reappear through the repaired skin and the true colour can be judged.
It is not uncommon for some people to have some patches after their first treatment - this is normal so not to worry, the pigment digests differently in some areas of your skin, or you may have accidentally itched them at night (see picture below for an example of before brows, straight after first treatment, healed after first treatment and straight after top up session).
It is now time for your top up session! This can be booked between 4-12 weeks after your initial treatment.
Final Step - The Top Up Session
Most people need a second top up session to perfect their eyebrows.
Some people find that they are ready to go a little darker after being cautious on their first treatment too.
The initial treatment is repeated to perfect your eyebrows and the aftercare regime will need to be followed again for 2 weeks.
Any Questions about the treatment or to book in your FREE consultation, give us a call at the salon on 01-2056709.
